Joni Powers
Nurse.... Listening to my heart! I launched my career in the world of medicine.
My professional life has been full of marvelous experiences,
twists and turns focused on helping others. It prepared me in more ways than I can express for effectively interacting with individuals as clients, in business, and the healing arts.
Artist.....Creative from birth! I spent my childhood studying piano and
immersing myself in the Crafts volume of Childcraft
Encyclopedia, looming potholders, knitting and organizing
neighborhood fan clubs! At age 12 my parents believed my first
charcoal drawing of an english setter was a masterpiece!! They
encouraged me to continue my artistic pursuits in a practical
way. Their advice was to become educated in a profession and
learn more about art. I followed their advice which led me in the
direction of a well balanced, creative life. I have
studied fine arts, attended numerous workshops in various
mediums, private art classes, been a particpant in art groups,
owned a paint your own pottery studio, created lovely living
spaces, gardens, became a baker, cook, event planner and
piano concert coordinator. My life is magnificently creative.
Energy Healer.....Enter the miraculous! When we are tuned in, it is amazing
how we become aware of the doorways that open and invite us to walk through to marvelous life adventures! This is how I began my life's work in Energy Healing. I have had the great fortune of being surrounded by wonderful, talented, inspiring healers throughout my life. They are my people! I became
aware of the growing alternative medicine field.
I dragged my boss along with me to a seminar by an acupuncturist and tried to convince him the medical center needed to expand into that field. Soon after, when a successful cardiac surgeon left his practice to go into Holistic Medicine, I knew I was on to something. I phoned him, we met for three hours. He told me I should be in Energy Medicine. I began studies with some of the world's most powerful
energy healers and graduated from a three year Art of Healing
program in Asheville, North Carolina.
I then began working with a team of MD acupuncturists and
other professionals at an Integrative Medicine Center. I
continue to see clients privately. I have the
privilege of witnessing individuals restored to health
and well being. It's an amazing life!
AND NOW FADE TO ORANGE.....with this background and my
innate desire to perpetually attain my highest potential, I am
at the perfect juncture to combine all that I know and
infuse it into the world. This is the catylst behind
Fade To Orange.
